This explains what personal information Kind Paws collects, why, and what your rights are. We've tried to keep it in plain English rather than dense legal language.
1. Who we are
Kind Paws is the trading name of Samantha Hart, a sole trader based in Dorset. Samantha Hart trading as Kind Paws is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

4. Who we share information with
We may share limited information with:
- Payment or ticketing providers, solely to process your booking or payment. Kind Paws does not store your card details.
- Venues, where necessary for them to prepare for your attendance (e.g. numbers, access needs)
- Independent facilitators delivering a specific workshop, where relevant to that session
- Professional advisors (e.g. accountant), where required
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. How long we keep information
We keep booking and contact information for as long as reasonably needed to run our events, respond to queries, and meet our legal and accounting obligations, generally no longer than a few years after your last interaction with us, unless we're required to keep it longer by law.
6. Marketing communications
We'll only send you marketing messages (such as news about upcoming events) if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe or ask us to stop at any time by emailing hello@kindpaws.uk.
7. Photographs & video
We often take photos and videos at Kind Paws events for our website and social media. Where photography is planned at an event, we'll make this clear to attendees and give you a reasonable way to opt out beforehand or on the day. See also our Event Terms & Conditions.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information, in certain circumstances
- Object to how we're using your information, including for legitimate interests processing like photography
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we're relying on consent (such as marketing)
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances

9. How to complain
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first, we'd like the chance to put things right. You can also complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
